As part of the preparatory series for the Learning Express (LeX) 2025 program, Eastern International University (EIU) conducted a Design Thinking training session for students on March 12.
The session offered a dynamic and engaging learning experience centered on creative problem-solving approaches.
Led by EIU faculty and staff, the session emphasized the importance of Design Thinking as a practical and innovative method to address real-world challenges. Students were introduced to a structured four-step approach: Sense & Sensibility: Framing the mindset, understanding context, and asking the right questions, Empathy: Discovering and feeling the user’s needs and emotions, Ideation: Generating breakthrough ideas based on deep insights, Prototyping: Creating and testing early solutions for improvement
Lecturers and facilitators provided theoretical insights along with practical examples to help students internalize and apply the methodology in diverse contexts.
This training aimed to equip students with essential skills for problem-solving, foster creative thinking, and encourage collaborative innovation. Through hands-on exercises and group discussions, students explored various perspectives and practiced translating challenges into actionable solutions.
Participants actively engaged in applying Design Thinking to real-life case scenarios, enhancing both their mindset and confidence.
